139735 I've got 5 hours in the car in the next two days and not driving so I'll be done by tomorrow for sure.

139735 They should not have a party in the cellar.

139735 I am unfortunately just starting this now.

Caleb and Zach are just getting to the house. I am right now figuring out that Zach doesn't have the mark that his dad does and that Alexander guy from the past significantly influences what he does??

139735 We should watch for another opportunity to add the next book to a buddy read....if we plan enough in advance... maybe janine will do a re-read with us??

I had to double check this and I hope the same. I don't want anything bad to happen to him. I was hoping to see him come out of his shell a bit....maybe he does in the others. I will be adding those to by TBR.

That was hard for me to read too. My uncle is an alcoholic and he used to go on benders and stuff, so I can see that self-destructiveness in Ansel a lot. I just wanted to cry reading this sometimes cause it hurts. That shows how good a writer this is that they can make you feel for Ansel in this, even though he made bad choices.

139735 That just might be a 5-star read for me. It was so good. Love the ending, even thought employees quit for something like that. Its stupid.

Now I'm gonna go read your spoilers.

139735 And here it is....another interaction with Ansel's Parents
Nov 01, 2024 02:23PM

139735 Ok. Parents came around. told relator guy to shove it basically and I'm now starting to feel happy and I'm worried the bottom is gonna fall out again....10% to go, so maybe not?
Nov 01, 2024 02:13PM

139735 Well....that's one way to find out what's going to happen. outing yourself in the local sandwich shop on a busy lunch hour.
Nov 01, 2024 02:10PM

139735 Ok. Parent invite to dinner...that's good. Now the locals and friends and employees to go....Here;s hoping.

***sorry for my stream of thought here. This is a really good book.

139735 OMG. His dad just called him a fruit. How can he do that? His daughter is gay. WTF.
Nov 01, 2024 01:48PM

139735 It seems a bit fast that he's getting his act together. Can I be hopeful that the last 25% is mostly Fitch getting his act together about dating a dude?
Nov 01, 2024 01:16PM

139735 Oh god. One really crappy phone call and he implodes on himself.
Nov 01, 2024 01:06PM

139735 Oh no. His mom called. I'm just starting that part.
Nov 01, 2024 01:01PM

139735 Why do I get the feeling that "I'm gonna rip the bandaid off soon" isn't soon enough?
Nov 01, 2024 12:48PM

139735 Awe. They are exclusive now.
Nov 01, 2024 11:01AM

139735 I'm 50% done now. This is getting really good. It will be interesting to see how Ansel's alcohol and Fitch's dad play into how their relationship goes.

I feel bad for what Ansel had to go through by his mom....It sounds like it was just her, but it sucks. Moms are supposed to love not hit/hate.

139735 OMG. a brother? wow. a small hint into Ansel
