139735 I didn't think I could, but my Library has it available now in hardcover.

139735 Could Legend of the White Snake work for first love? If so, I could read that one too, maybe,

I need a book in Feb that has a staff or serpents on the cover...a snake works for that right?

139735 Also, March MPG Tag is going to be Mystery/Thriller any of those have that tag.....we could consider holding for March?? Problem is we don't know the tasks.

139735 I could do The Long Call. It's KU so I can do it at anytime. Where would it fit?

I was interested, but still on hold.

139735 Did we decide on Orientation by Gregory Ashe for our Team Read for February? With a goal to complete between the 12th and 18th to get the Themed Reading points?

I placed it for About Friendship, but not sure if it would work in other areas.

Would we say Mormon is an underrepresented religion? I also believe he might be Gay, but not sure.

I would think so. That or the Wilde family was what I was originally thinking of, I ended up with Robbie by Ella Frank since his grandma is an important plot point in that book.

139735 Just read an interview with Gregory Ashe. John-Henry was supposed to be the murderer and it was only going to be one book. What?!?!

Also, he grew up Mormon so that's why The Lamb and the Lion is set in Utah.

139735 I'm good with whatever and could even go with a non-mm romance. I was just trying to think of an author that is more story than romance and a slow burn.

I have filled out most of my selections for Feb so you can see if you there are any BR opportunities and as people fill them out I may change. I do have one other GA book on the list too.

@Janine. I have two more from Bar 28 on the list and you might like Leo. its not at all bdsm and Haydn has a little, but not like sawyer at all. I'll peruse it again to confirm more details if you think you might want to give those guys a shot again.

139735 I picked one from each and I can easily replace about half of them if I need to.

Some of these I can't even start til Feb.

139735 Couple of questions about Feb Tasks:
1. Read a book featuring a strong family bond. - Can this be a found family or does it need to be blood family?

2. Read a book about love between humans and animals. - Can this be human and shifter?

139735 Orientation by Gregory Ashe
From Precis:
a budding romance lays bare long-buried feelings between Shaw and North, and as their relationship splinters, solving the case may come at the cost of their friendship.

It's MPG Romance and KU (at least in US) and its only 294 Pages.

Won't help too much for Uno since the cover is white though.

139735 If I remember correctly, Jackie does not usually read a lot of romance, so finding one that is romance lite?
Jan 21, 2025 12:41PM

139735 I am also way down the list for James. I'm like #17 in line for 4 books.
Jan 20, 2025 07:15PM

139735 I just looked and tasks are not out yet, but the Genre Bonus is MPG Romance in February.
