Yes buddy.. That was the beauty of this book.. It had too many back stories, past histories and reasons.. GRRM solved the mysteries of attack on Bran and death of Arryn in 3rd book. And they happened in 1st book beginning.. How audacious is he?_/\_

But how cruel Tywin was to do that to his own son :'( He rightly deserved that death :| :| Even that was unpredictable too.. (view spoiler)[Goosebumps 2: Lord Walder Frey.. How pure class he is!! And his special laugh : heh, heh, heh :D :D I expected the slaughter beforehand but not of Robb and Catelyn's.. I thought Edmure would die. Walder's dialogues as his people kills everyone are pure Gold.. Robb paid for his mistake but very dearly :'( Trivia 1 : If you remember correctly, Baahubali has a scene where Baahubali fires arrows on flying tent cloth :D It seems it was inspired from the attack on Robb's soldiers feasting in the tents.. Only difference is that the tent cloth was flying in Baahubali and here, the tents were on ground. <\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

Good afternoon Buddy.. I finished Puddle Jumping too.. Thought it would be a cute thing like Eleanor and Park, but it's altogether a different beast..

(view spoiler)[ My favorite moments : 1. Oberyn Martell Vs Gregor Clegane!. Perhaps Martin writes one single duel per book. But he writes it in a great way. He is like a supercomputer playing chess, writes thousands of moves and plots in advance and narrates them in a reverse chronological order. The way Red Viper fights gave Goosebumps to me while reading.. What a way to harass a seemingly unsurpassable fighter. But unfortunately he got too carried away and I was so sad that he didn't avenge Princess Elia properly.. Prediction 1: This is to set up a gorgeous, mouthwatering fight between the Clegane brothers in the next book maybe? *_*<\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I agree with your view. But that first response of greed, revenge (on his experiences in childhood) from Jon is still nagging me. After going through all this, he shouldn't have been so easy to lure. His soul became a part of Brother's Watch. He had to kill, marry, live to be a part of wilidlings. That proves how dedicated he was to Brother's Watch, apart from his own desire to save his neck. And still, when Stannis's offered Winterfell, the response he gave was a hard pill to digest for me.. I agree GRRM is a genius. He is near flawless with his narrative, character development and attention to detailing but this is one of those rare letdowns, as far as my opinion goes :) Anyway, to each his own :) <\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]
