I've never had them tell me this. I have been working with BookSirens for more than a year (they are fabulous!) and have had some books that were not for me. As such, the reviews were 1 or
2 stars. I was not asked to take my reviews down or refrain from publishing them. They just give you a "review publishing is optional" if it is 3 stars or less.
I assume the review in question had some harsh critiques judging by that comment (from Hope) above and this was why it was asked to be removed. Less to do with the 2 stars and more to do with the way the 2 stars was discussed.

I don't usually post negative reviews on my Instagram, but everything goes on my Goodreads.
I post on Amazon if I bought it, got it from NetGalley, or was asked to post there by the author when approached about reviewing.

I do shorter reviews and have no issue getting approved for books on the regular.
I agree with Sarah in not requesting too many books at once. Start with just a few and get through them then accept more. Some publishers really do look at the 80% thing on NG, so try to start out there.

Good to know, I have that coming up soon.
I have Legendborn & The Mexican Home Kitchen: Traditional Home-Style Recipes That Capture the Flavors and Memories of Mexico on the go right now. So far, both are fantastic!

Try resubmitting it and see if the same thing happens.

"Too much/not enough of ..." and that I had to DNF as a result.
Then you are leaving a review, but also letting them know you didn't finish it. That way it doesn't impact your numbers and they get something from ya.
Hope that helps :)

If so, congrats you are a reviewer!
When getting started, I would suggest doing a bunch of Read Now books since they don't require approval and help you get some reviews under your belt before making requests from publishers.
Helps you get data for them to look at.
Have fun!!!

It still shows in my number of approved books on my profile, but not in the "current titles" count. Do you have any books on your "older than 3 months" shelf when you click on it?

It's been almost a year since you posted on your blog and it's been several years since you posted a review on GR.
This with a feedback ratio under 80% is probably why.
I don't have a blog and have been approved by them.
My feedback ratio is always above 80% on NG and I post several reviews a month on GR.
Might be the perfect time post some reviews on your blog while getting caught up on your backlog on NG books to get your ratio up. :)
Hope that helps :)

I have usually spent well over the required amount every year lol
