the Zoya B**** .. I love how she was torched early on because of what she did .. I don't know I just felt like this kind of gave Alina a chance to show her how she could kind of stand her own ground .. and how botkin (i kind of like him and his english) stood up for her against his star pupil ..

YA .. I COMPLETELY AGREE ON GENYA BEING AN AWESOME FRIEND!! how she found Mal's location for Alina .. how she made that snotty little @#$@$#% (I mean who just walks up to people and say they reek just because she is from modest origin and has outstanding potential??) .. but ya .. and how she warns her off .. OH OH OH !!! and her crush on david is SO CUUUUUUTE (forgot to mention that in the previous chapters ,,, but yup .. I think genya would be ok with david ,, maybe alexei even)

The darkling .. now this person .. has two sections .. this is the first .. dude just seems like a 20-30 year old .. i've thought this before… but when you give me a couple of "steamy" scenes .. with him seeming so .. lost ?? .. it messes with my conception of wisdom with age .. but I liked how he forced himself to make Alina wear black for the party ..


Which brings me to the performance ..
I kid you not .. I was kind of thinking of Frozen's "Let it go"
during the entire thing .. especially the finale .. It just sounded so amazing and she seemed to be having so much fun that night ..


So when her long awaited meeting with Mal occured?? the Mal she was so heartbroken over for thinking he abandoned her? to the point she sort of unleashed the light she locked within her?? I was conflicted .. I had a feeling he wasn't getting the letters .. but still .. it's kind of clear they're on different levels now .. but .. I don't know .. I understand his anger .. but Alina was not exactly at fault either .. let's just say … in the wise words of facebook: "it's complicated"

I must say I still think that priest dude is weird .. I will not let this slide .. totally weird and creepy


back to the darkling (I think i want to call him shadow) .. part two ..



AMAZING PLOT TWIST !!!!!!

That being said .. I had a feeling .. but at the same time .. I don't think this is completely true .. I'm more thrilled by the fact that the crazy old lady is his mom XD XD XD that was my own plot twist take ..

Had he really planned what she said he had? I don't know .. it's possible .. Do I believe it? no .. i think it's too easy .. I might be biased cuz I sort of started liking him sense he IS the mysterious figure prince charming whatever .. but no .. I'm gonna follow my gut on this ..

Although interesting enough .. since i'm sure there would be teams .. team mal would be happy with this predicament .. and see hope for them in the future ,, that's probably the point of disclosing this at this point since the book is about to finish .. with it being a series and all

But ya .. I felt really bad for her .. having to face all of this hard issues in the one night she allowed herself to feel radiant ..

So good job on her getting a grip .. whether this may be a trap or not .. after a long night of heartbreaks .. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Thus concludes my rambling .. I'll open up a thread for the next chapters and start reading in 3.5 hours <3 ..

So the transformation scene and how every "section" was arguing to have her was so funny and cute in my opinion ..


But when the darkling escorted her and then asked them to make black robes .. That was saying something about what the author has in store ..

Genya is awesome .. She seems to be the girl friend Alina was waiting for .. And her training was just sad. XD really felt bad for her ..

As for her meeting with royalty .. Is anyone else creeped by that dude? The minister or what aranto they called him? .. He sorta reminded me of frolo from the hunchback of notre dame ..

The darklig seems so lonely .. When she turned his request down about the robes .. It was understandable .. I think she did the right thing .. But I also think he was wise in that he kinda knew she would not fit in well with anyone ..


Ok .. It's been a couple if days so I might have forgotten something .. But I think I covered everything ..

Now if you'll excuse me I have 5 chapters to read since I think I might have been ditched lol

i think the latest sci-fi (if it counts) i've read was the 5th wave .. I really really liked it and can't wait for the next one ..

lately i've been into fairytale retellings .. so after shadow and bone i think i'll read cruel beauty (beauty and the beast) .. and then read Cress .. until we decided to do another read-along ..

I was thinking about a readathon thing .. where we select multiple books .. all of us read together but at our own time .. and just post when we want to comment or rant or say something .. let's get through this now and if you want .. talk about this later

I loved PLL .. got to halfway to season 2 but later my friend kept trying to spoil me .. which put me off cuz i loathe spoilers :) .. so ya .. safe to say i've been cut off the PLL franchise

btw .. i'll give you guys the next 8 hours and a half to comment on chapters 6-10 before i write my own and keep reading .. the suspence is killing me too you know :(

anyways ,, figured while we're waiting .. I'd talk more (when i should shut up i know *sigh* i have issues lol)

I'm 21 .. 3rd year in college .. I go to Zayed University in Abu Dhabi UAE .. majoring in IT enterprise computing .. which is sort of like understanding businesses and how they run .. by which trying to use technology to improve efficiency..

I love to read on my bed .. or sometimes in a nice relaxing bubble bath .. the warmer the better .. my tumblr and instagram accounts are basically fandoms rambling .. or related fan art and sometimes just art and tv show related gifs, updates .. and stuff like that ..


Most of the time you'd find me reading a YA dystopia/fantacy thing .. but sometimes adult books or contemprary chick-lits are something i love to quick read and enjoy ..

I have way too many favs ,, but I wont bore you ..

I also regularly watch the originals (I <3 Klaus) .. Supernatural .. Hart of Dixie .. TVD .. and read naruto/bleach updates as well as the rest of my obsessions

Also love to watch korean dramas .. but I probably saw 5-6 series in total so I wouldn't call myself an expert ..

If you know detective conan (aka case closed) .. then your awesome lol .. (jk) that's what got me to anime ..

mainly my focus are on my books and tv shows now .. but I love all of the above
