He smiles softly, stroking the cat gently."It seems so,"
"Yeah, he is,"After a few more rounds of this, he puts up the unchosen toys.
"You got it, little guy,"He gave the cat a scratch behind the ear before putting up some of the other toys.
He steps back to let Spots pick.
He met her gaze, the utter hopelessness he felt betrayed by his eyes."I would if I could."
"I've been trying my best... it's just been too much for too long..."
He raised an eyebrow.
"Okay then, I'll just..."He set some options down on the floor for Spots.
"See? You wouldn't have to deal with this."
