Jake realizes that being a no-show for their nuptials was the worst mistake of his life. A little older and more mature, he is ready to fight for Ashly’s love once again. When Ashly sees him, she can’t deny the attraction she feels, but her hormones are overruled by the horror of what he did to her in the past. She cannot deny the spark, and she only hopes the inferno it ignites will not consume her heart again.
Saving Forever by Lexy Timms

Now she is working in the one place she doesn’t want to be. Except she’s attracted to Dr. Elijah Bennet, the handsome playboy chief.
Will she ever prove to her father that’s she’s more than a med school dropout? Or will her attraction to Elijah keep her from repairing the one thing she desperately wants to fix?
Tangled Beauty by Kristen Middleton
Sinclair Jeffries thought she knew what she was getting into when her zany, gay friend, Jesse Eddington, talked her into portraying his girlfriend during his parent's anniversary party on Huntington Beach. That is, until she met Reed, Jesse's sexy as hell older brother, and ends up getting much more than what she'd bargained for.
Reed Eddington assumed his future was settled until he met Sinclair, his brother's so-called "girlfriend", but the raw, sexual tension between them is hard to ignore. As he watches their ruse from the sidelines, he finds himself wanting to uncover more than just their amusing little facade.

Restoring discipline at a girls’ academy should have been easy for a former US Naval Officer. It wasn't, nor was it easy dealing with an all-female staff.
Adam Wild considers himself well equipped to bring order back to St Mary’s Academy in northern England - and he’s not about to take No for an answer. Still in love with his late wife, he believes himself immune to the temptations of the female staff
Fiercely independent Jenna Murray has learned that she does not need a man in her life; especially the arrogant Adam Wild who has stolen the headship she feels should have been hers. She undermines his authority at every turn, until even the girls recognize the underlying emotion in their constant sparring. Determined to bring him down, an allegation by a troubled girl is just the ammunition she needs
But then Nicole, Adam’s late wife’s kid sister returns from Africa with a life-threatening condition and a startling request that forces both Adam and Jenna to re-evaluate their feelings about love
Lust shouts. Love whispers. Only the heart knows the difference.
Intrigue, scandal, suspense, and romance peppered with humor tell how one man’s influence on a school of wayward girls and their teachers changes their lives in ways none of them would imagine – and eventually his own.
another new one - this one has 3) 5-star ratings and 1) 1-star and 1) 2-star so either you'll love it or you'll hate it!

Her world gets shaken to the core when she interferes one too many times, and family friend, Craig Ferguson, takes her to task. As she is reeling from Craig, she meets well driller, Mike Church, who threatens to pull the rug completely out from under her. Janie has built her life on being in control, and now she's at risk of losing it all.

Jess Madigan has moved back to her parents' home, ashamed, alone, and in heaps of debt after abandoning medical school. Tormented by her own sense of failure, Jess is desperate to regain some form of inner spark. That's when she encounters an old flame, now a devastatingly handsome and internationally successful author and adventurer.
Jake Lassiter is smoldering hot, impulsive, and fun in the deepest sense of the word. With him, girl-next-door Jess devours life, savors its fruits, and surrenders to a primal force infinitely more powerful than she. Yet, even as Jake lifts her to dizzying heights, Jess knows there's something he isn't telling her. A scintillating and deeply emotional journey, A Lover's Secret will stay with readers long after the final page has turned.

LOL Barb, if it makes it easier on you, most of mine are New Adult romances and have maybe only 3 or 4 books total in the series (so far). Only one (Dying for Dinner Rolls) is a cozy mystery and if I'm not mistaken, it's already on your TBR list!
Apparently I start way too many series too! Here's my first card finished!

12. Dying for Dinner Rolls Lois Lavrisa 2/17/14
13. Love Is Relative Haven Francis 2/19/14
but on a happy note, I've continued on with 4 of these series and so far have read the corresponding book #2s.
Connie, that's our incentive to get you all closer to the finish line with this one!!! how close are you? I'm too lazy to scroll up and see where you are!
I love FictFact too, and if you have a series that's not listed yet, you can fill out the form and they'll get it added. I submitted at least 5 different series last week and they were up within a couple of days!!! After sending them more work to do, I sent a general contact message too, just to let them know how much I love the site and how useful it is and I got a nice reply back from them this morning!
Question time, if I'm overdue on the 13x13 challenge but just read a book that works for that, do you think I should use that same book for a fit in the new 14x14 challenge? If I'm late one of the monthly challenges, I try not to use the book for say the January MotM challenge AND the February MotM challenge so I'm thinking I should use the same logic for the 13x13/14x14 but my justification that it'd be ok is that there's so many more books involved than in the monthly challenges. what do you think?
Connie, sorry that you got more snow yesterday than it was forecast for. The storm tracked just differently enough from the forecast that we didn't get the 4-7 they had called for and more of the 2-4. But sadly it's snowing again today. Andy took the day off from work today to spend the day with us and we were going to go down to Springfield for a floor hockey event with the Springfield Falcons, but the snow was coming down REALLY hard when we were leaving and I made the call that it'd be silly to risk our necks just to go hang with with a few of the players off the ice. We'd been down to it the last 2 years that they've offered the day so I know the boys would've had fun but no point putting us all on the roads if we didn't HAVE to be there. It was a bit hard for me to make that call because I have a serious crush on one of the players that more than likely would have been there today!
I'm really ready for spring - I'm seriously thinking about taking a trip to PA to find and strangle that furry groundhog that is gave us 6 more weeks of this junk!!
