121045 BACK TO SCHOOL, 2020
DATE: 09/01/20 - 08/31/21

WRC-BACK-TO-SCHOOL-2020

Back to school looks so very different this year than it did in 2019. We are all dealing with a "new normal". This year, our back to school challenge will look a bit different as well. Mainly, you will find the same task but with just a little bit of difference for each item. The only thing to remember for this task is: there is no word count limit, but all words count (sub-titles may be used or ignored...your choice). Let's remember our students and educators trying to return to class :)

To complete the challenge, read a book for each of the items listed below - 10 books total.

※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※
Challenge Rules:
The page limit requirement is 125 pages unless otherwise specified; however, participants are welcome to combine smaller books to reach the page limit. All books are allowed (children's, manga, graphic novels, audio, ebook, etc). Re-reads are fine - just be sure to re-read the entire book.

Challenge Updates:
You are welcome to post updates while working your way through the challenge, but it is not required.

Completed Challenges:
When you have completed this challenge, copy and paste your entire challenge in a new message, indicating it is completed. A completed challenge must include: a link to the book title, the author's name, and the date you finished reading the book.

Notes on how to post book title and author links can be found here.

Agnieszka - Birgit Schmitz is the Editor...so in this case, you would use Barack Obama.

DATE: 09/01/20 - 11/30/20

wrc-hello-fall-2020

Time to pull out all things pumpkin! Fall is almost here!! Below is a list of some things you might encounter during the fall months. The challenge is to complete as many as you can by the end of the challenge.

There are five ways to complete an item, and these can be mixed/matched; however, you must read a minimum of 15 books in order to complete the challenge. A book may only be used one time.

Ways to Complete an Item:
(1) Title:
The first letter of each title word found in the item; no word count limit, but all words count.

(2) Author:
The author's first and last initials found in the item

(3) Cover:
The item is found on the cover. Please post the cover.

(4) Text:
The item or phrase can be found in the text of the book. Please provide page/location number, and sentence containing the word or phase. Word/phrase must be exact - no substitutions.

(5) Spell Out:
Spell out the item by using the first letter of a book title or the first letter of the author's first or last name. Please Note: If choosing this option to complete your challenge, you must spell out enough words to cover the 15 book minimum. For example: You could not simply spell out FALL, as it only represents four letters. You would need to spell out additional words to reach the 15 book minimum.
