I think the understanding is that men know what is in the minds of other men. And the terminology of get your mind out of the gutter was probably created by men telling other men not to think of their sisters that way! hehehhe

Also - would it be possible to change out the picture in this audible? For some reason it shows like a book and not the square of audio.

Thank you!!

1200017 Another like- when Mrs Hill is obviously the woman that raised Elizabeth when Mrs Bennet is too vile.

Oh my lord yes, All sex No plot, Ugh! I am always like - but where is the storyline!?!

1200017 Thanks!

Go you! I hope you really enjoy it.
I find my reading is very emotional. Not sure I could get overly structured with it. ;)

1200017 I love that authors have to find fresh ways to describe the Talk. My favorite was when Mrs. Bennet says that he will get 'inspired' while waving her hands in an upward motion.
Also can't remember which book.

1200017 Ha! I agree with you both. Those scenes are so good. Whether orchestrated by Lady Matlock in public or in the new Bennet home in private, she is so done!

Hi Crafty - you have such a wonderful list to choose from!

My personal faves on it are Accusing Mr. Darcy and The Rogue's Widow. Both excellent and quite different books. I will go with The Rogue's Widow and look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I love when Jangley get backbones. another old reused canon, Bingley listens to his advisor instead of going to 'get his girl'!!

How about when they have triplets! Even more so a danger to all. And with all modern medicine it is still possible for not all to be born healthy/alive.

Hahaha, while that is my favorite Trope I totally laughed - can't remember where I put her...

1200017 So this isn't an about life thing, but I was thinking. We discuss so much our favorite tropes, I was wondering what your pet peeves are.

For example- I am so over the whole Lydia/Wickham thing being the catalyst for a story. With so many variations out now, and so, so many of them are beyond creative, I'm like super blase' with that canon thread.

Also, every time Elizabeth goes on about how perfect Jane is and beautiful inside as well as out, I roll my eyes a little. At times I would love for Elizabeth to let rip into Jane: tell her to wake up, get over herself, that life really can be that bad and have bad people in it. I think it one of the reasons I appreciate bad Jane story now.

To finish, (and I know this is probably just me) but why does Jane get the Viscount/Earl/Duke/Marquess and a dozen of children starting 9 months out of the gate? Major eye rolling on these...

I would love to hear your pet peeves! (so I don't feel like such an idjit) LOL
