Very interesting, thanks. I used that trick with Booksprout too after I realised my book was several pages in ;) I only got a handful of reviews, but I think it was worth it. I also had people cross posting which was very kind of them.

How far in advance of new release do you post to the sites?

I've used Voracious Readers Only - https://voraciousreadersonly.com/ . I just did the free 20 book giveaway and got about 7 reviews - most reviews were posted on GRs rather than Amazon / elsewhere. They seemed to be non-author readers so wasn't worried about reciprocal reviews. A few people went on to buy other books in the series. I would have continued with them but my books are in KU so I don't think you can give away free copies.

I've used BookSprout too for reviews pre-release although I struggle to get many people to pick up my books - I think it might be better for Romance. Again, all seemed to be non-author readers.

Assuming I'm allowed to, please can I nominate Duplicity of Power by S. Lynn 😁 Great fantasy read - fast paced, fairly dark, really well written.

Ah, I was searching by ASIN. Found it on B&N and posted there (it's being reviewed but should show up soon). Also posted my reviews for Duplicity of Power and the first book while I was there.

Hi Dagmar, my book, The Missing, on Chain 10 does not require a review on Amazon (just GRs and BookBub). It's suitable for all, but aimed at 10-13 year-olds so you might not want to read it. I think it's currently the only one at the bottom of a chain without Amazon listed.
