Ah, LR Wright. I was so shocked when I heard she had died. I so enjoyed the Karl Alberg series and the start of her next one. I still have to start the Darko Dawson series. THIS YEAR! Great challenge idea.

Interesting challenges, Pat. I like your Popsugar challenge. Good luck. I look forward to seeing what books fill out your lists.
I've only read Killing the Shadows and quite enjoyed it. I've read other Mo Hayder books. I hope you enjoy all of your selections.
Some challenging books there. I read Fifth Business back in my university days and enjoyed the trilogy very much. Time out of Joint is interesting one. The Paradise was excellent, as was the TV series based on it. I hope to read more Octavia Butler next year. Enjoy them all
Arizona is my next spot to visit. While Agents of Dreamland by Caitlín R. Kiernan does also wander to Maine and California, a portion takes place in Winslow Arizona. (3.5 stars)

Vetting my books to see which ones I hope to complete by year end and whether, if I don't, do I want to continue in the new year and I've given up on two books I'm currently reading. I'm probably being unfair and may some day feel like trying again, but here you go.. my reviews, such as they are for Chasing The Flame: Sergio Vieira de Mello and the Fight to Save the World by Samantha Power NR

Harvest Home by Thomas Tryon NR

The only book on your list that I've read is Hunt for Red October. It was great. I am reading the Martha Grimes books but I'm not that far ahead in the series. Enjoy your challenge.
