All three of those sound good to me . From Lukov with Love is free on KU for those who have it.

I’m not a fan of anything to do with supernatural so I’ll pass on this one and join again next month.

I both loved and found it a little heartbreaking that all along her dad had planned to have this grand adventure with her and never got to. I love that even when they found it all they were still working on themselves and Lily had to continue to work on her own insecurities.
My favourite line near the end was « Lily would tell them to shut the hell up, but secretly she liked showing it off: this ranch and this man and this bright, insatiable love she’d once thought was only for other people. Leo told her happiness was her best accessory. Security didn’t come easily—she was a work in progress, and that meant she spent just as many days wondering when it would all fall apart as she did realizing the dream was real »
I think it was a nice way to acknowledge the joy that her second chance with Leo brought her but that didn’t mean life was unrealistically perfect.
Overall I really enjoyed this book but I think I honestly enjoyed the adventure first and the romance second.

I’ve been hearing good things about The Bodyguard by Katherine Center

That’s exactly the notes I made. I Don’t understand how they are going to go treasure hunting and THEN notify the authorities and that’s not going to look crazy suspicious??? It’s not at all where I saw the book going but I’m definitely interested to see where it all goes.

I enjoyed it right from the start. I love that Lily and Nicole are strong women doing something I would assume would be dominated by men generally but they’re tough and can clearly hold their own. I find the guys interesting and like that they all have very different personalities. I feel like besides just being a jackass Terry is going to cause some major problems along the way.
I’m also hoping hoping to see a lot more fire between Lily and Leo. I agree the confrontation was a little tame and too well received on both sides. I would have either liked the misunderstanding to play out longer or at least there to be some fire behind the conversation.
I think I would enjoy time on a dude ranch playing cowgirl but definitely don’t know if I’d survive trail riding in the desert for days at a time.

Works for me.

works for me

I finished as well. This one overall was not that great for me. I wish the focus had stayed on the missed connections and and the bits where they were chatting through the paper.
So much was just side conversations that didn’t seem to matter and there was more focus on their friend’s relationships and lives then the M.C’s.
They spent more time developing her side relationship with Eddie and I think I was sadder when they broke up then I was excited when she finally meets up with Daniel 🤦🏻♀️
I did like that moment where they realized how many times they’d almost met; but found it frustrating that once they finally got together, instead of fluffy goodness the rest of the book was just them recapping all the ways they’d missed each other, not once but twice.

Something Wilder is on my tbr as well!

All I’m thinking is it better be one heck of a romance at the end if it’s taking them this long to get together. I wish at least we we’re getting some character growth or something in between. Right now the only parts that are actually interesting imho is the actual missed connections messages they’re sending each other.
I think if you’re going to have a book where it’s taking so long for your mc’s to get together their needs to be more depth to the filler and side characters but this book doesn’t have that. It’s like Sleepless in Seattle but without the depth.

I love it!!! We say “like oil and vinegar”, but I’m definitely using chalk and cheese from now on!

I’m also struggling with this one a bit and wish it would pick up a bit. Also though I have read a lot of books that have British phrasing some expressions were definitely new to me…still wondering what the expression “like chalk and cheese” means lol. I definitely did relate to Nadia’s “New Routine to Change Her Life” as this is something I feel like I’m trying to do myself every few months. I have chronic illness but whenever I’m doing well for a bit I get determined to start waking up earlier, be more productive in the mornings, meal prep etc like all those put together grownups 🤣

Sounds good. Just bought it. Our Stop is only .99 right now on Kindle for anyone who uses that. (I’m in Canada so not sure if that will make a difference in cost)

Great observation Lena. Holding back even from someone you love isn’t always about trust. My oldest sister is my best friend and while I tell her most everything I do know there are things that I keep to myself when I know she may not be strong enough to hear them. She’s had much harder experiences in life and has the biggest heart so she takes on other peoples stress and emotions very easily. She’d hate knowing that but it’s enough for me knowing I could tell her if I needed to.
I think it’ll be interesting to find out what Libby is processing. I think there is definitely more going on with Libby then kids and sleep deprivation.

I love the idea of looking at it from the Hallmark “villain’s” perspective.
As an avid watcher of those adorably cheesy movies, I’ve actually said to my husband that I wonder how the poor boyfriend or girlfriend feels knowing they were just celebrating Xmas (or Easter or V. Day etc) and all of a sudden their significant other is like “ forget the life we planned I’m moving away so xmasville to run a reindeer farm…
I’m also loving her sister and the closeness they’ve shared and the feeling of trying to recapture that when life gets in the way.

Im newish as well so thanks for explaining. I was watching the comments on the last read, and so I’m excited to join in on this one.
10 chapters is great with me.

I’ve got it too.

Hi Everyone my name is Nicky. I'm from Northern Ontario
I've been on Goodreads for a while but just recently started writing more reviews and I'm pretty active on Bookstagram. I haven't joined any groups till now but I've just recently started reading more Rom-Coms so this seemed like a nice fit. I think my two favorites recently were The Buy-In by Emma St.Clair (well pretty much any of her books) and I loved Shipped by Angie Hockman.
