There's 3 back to back emotional as fuck parts in this book. No matter how many times I've read this series, those 3 scenes still make me cry.
Her withdrawal, meeting Katie & then the rooftop.
Guaranteed ugly crying each time....

I sincerely hope we get another POV. Granted the next one will probably KILL ME!

We saw a glimpse of it in Playing with Fire.

Ok, I'll start this off....
I first heard about Downside from a former friend of mine around the end of 2010. I was just coming out of an 8 month book slump and nothing was getting or keeping my attention. But my friend was super instant. So I finally gave in, but I couldn't get into it. But something about it hit a nerve with me. So I decided to come back to it later.
I picked it up again about a month later & I was hooked immediately. I've never looked back.
It wasn't until after I finished Unholy Ghosts that I figured out why it had affected me so much. It was because I KNEW Chess would get underneath my skin, and she did.
How about you guys?

It parallels modern society, how it's so easy to be come addicted to prescription drugs.
