Ahhhh I have a dilemma you guys... ahhhh... I’ve been working on this story for 9 weeks. I’ve been brainstorming, building the plot, planning my characters, writing backstories and I started the outlining process yesterday. But then- the dreaded moment EVERY author hates— I found a way the story could be better *shudders*. Ok, that doesn’t sound so bad, but it requires me to COMPLETELY rework the ENTIRE story. It’ll change characters (and possibly eliminate some) and change the entire direction of the plot, but it just sounds more interesting. So here’s my question: what do I do??? Do I stick with the idea ive been working on for weeks or change it and backtrack a ton knowing it MIGHT be worth it in the end. At the same time though it might muddy up or change the plot and message. Let me know if you want more details
That’s a great idea!! I was thinking about setting that as my goal too. Which story are you writing for it?
Also Harvest, congratulations on 30 pages!!! That’s a big accomplishment, and I usually don’t get much farther than that. Also for your plot line, can you explain a little more about your story and I can give you some advice
Those are SO COOL thank you!!! And the moon one reminds me of a story I wrote for LA once. It was honestly a terrible story, but it was 27 minute reading time (my poor teacher) and she read the whole thing and gave me like three paragraphs of feedback 😳
Hey guys, I’m back!! I was busy making chocolate-mint ripplefluffs 😋 (so yeah, I’m team Fitzphie if you can’t tell 😂)
Yup. In my dream it was common culture that you would find these cheese sticks (usually in bathrooms) and they were worth a certain amount of money, usually a small amount, but I found one worth $49,000,000 and one worth $27,000,000 and I was so excited, but I had to go to the old bathroom cheese stick man to determine that they were really worth that much. He told me that they were expired, therefore worth nothing, and he felt bad that I had nothing so he sent me on a quest to find chickfila jelly beans
That is so cool! My idea sort of came out of nowhere, I’ve always been fascinated with dreams and that’s a large premise of my book
