I think I've read all of the Drizzt books... 😁 I should reread them soon...

How about The Icewind Dale trilogy and the DragonLance Chronicles??

1. The Crystal Shard by R.A. Salvatore

2. Streams of Silver

3. The Halfling's Gem

DragonLance Chronicles:

1. Dragons of Autumn Twilight

2. Dragons of Winter Night

3. Dragons of Spring Dawning

I also loved the Spelljammer setting + novels...and I remember the first novel started on Krynn.

1156233 Have I read it? I had two cats named Drizzt and Cattie-Brie. 😁 I think that should answer the question? Drizzt lived to be 19 years old. He and his sister were Maine coon cats. He had the big black dorsal stripe too. And he was very smart. His sister wasn't though. She was the kind of cat that liked to stare up at the ceiling while on a bed. He had all the brains. And I bet Drizzt was the only cat who had 2 names. Drizzt Do'Urden. Oh and the vet never could say his name. He would just wiggle the finger at me.

Who doesn't love the Forgotten Realms? Although I think I do prefer Krynn a bit more. I just bought an omnibus of the Icewind Dale trilogy.
1156233 Horror is probably The Terror by Dan Simmons. The Terror by Dan Simmons

I'd have to think about the fantasy and sci-fi ones...lots of favorites in those categories!

I saw Jaws as a young kid too. It didn't bother me at all. I guess because I probably saw the shark as another kaiju. I mean I was used to seeing Godzilla stomping around and fighting other big monsters so I think I just saw the shark as another kaiju? Besides it's not like a shark is going to be in Lake Michigan! I don't go in the lake anyway..

Me and my mother would attend it for a few years. I remember I saw the actor who plays Q on Next Generation. I remember walking around and looking at all of the shops and stuff. Lots of places gave out little free stuff too. And many people were wearing costumes!

We did try to play our own version of the game set on Krynn. Using the main characters from the DragonLance books. But I'm sure it was nothing like playing real D&D because we really didn't know what we were doing! πŸ˜… Basically I would design a map on a grid paper and set up some task for them to go do and try to make booby traps and such.

After awhile GenCon left Milwaukee because our arena building was too small for their needs so they moved it to a larger city.

1156233 No, not officially or anything. But I do remember going to GenCon and seeing the TSR castle with the big red dragon up on top of it! That was cool. And seeing the art show with all the fantasy art.. I never knew anyone who actually plays D&D or AD&D. I did have the AD&D monster manual years ago which was cool.
1156233 Science fiction: Star Wars (the original and the prequels only - I hate those new ones!!), Star Trek and Jurassic Park + World..

Fantasy: Lord of the Rings, the first 4 Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean

Horror: it depends what mood I'm in.. I love those creature movies like giant spiders or sharks, etc so stuff like Eight Legged Freaks, Jaws, Python, etc. I also love stuff with werewolves like Ginger Snaps or Ginger Snaps Back.

TV shows: Once Upon a Time, V the original miniseries, original Star Trek, Stargate Atlantis, Primeval to name a few...

1156233 Hello!

I'm Sarah and I live in Milwaukee WI USA. I really don't travel very much except out to the ranch in Mukwanago to go see the herd. 🐎🐎🐎 I read lots of horror, sci-fi, fantasy and all sorts of stuff really. Lately I've gotten hooked on these reading challenges. 😁 Otherwise I like nature, wildlife, animals and going hiking. I have Asperger's.
