It's an easy instrument to play but hard to master. I never mastered it. I think the last time I played I was in 8th grade way way way way way way back hen, LOL. and there is nothing wrong with being a music geek. I would if I could, but I know my limitations. I am a book geek and that is good enough for me.

No, lol they are musical terms she is saying about her violin teacher. Emma why don't you explain, I haven't done any music for Over 30 plus plus plus years. And then I was trying to learn the Baritone.

Has he given you any exercises to strengthen your wrist ? Light exercises should help relieve the pain and strengthen at the same time.

Where in your hand does it hurt ?

Why does he tell you not to play ? Shirley that is the whole idea of going to lessons isn't it...

Keep practicing the technique as you use it more it will hurt less and then you will get better at it.

Does your playing suffer when you hold the bow wrong ? If not do what's comfortable for you especially if that is how you held it for your festival and got a grade like that.

A lot more work for you then keep practicing. But if you got 97/100 you will do good. Enjoy yourself that is the most important thing.

Maybe I have to much faith in my fellow man, but I don't fear sharing what I write. I write because it is in me and have a need to share. I think we are more protected here than we would be anywhere else. O.K I am showing my Naivety but there you go. If someone wants to steal your work the will no matter how hard you try to protect it. If someone wants to use what I have I will share it as I feel it needs to be shared. It is just me I guess but I am tired of not trusting and have decided to "pay it forward" so to speak. I only ask if you want to use what I have ask...

Am I to trusting ? I don't think so. I don't write and won't write for a living.

Well I wish you luck, one day you will reach your goal. And if you don't you are still young you have a life time ahead of you. Don't sweat the small things in life as they will only wear you down. Take life one day at a time it is better to enjoy one day then it is to suffer a life time of misery.

the only thing I can say is save up for it and go on your own. If it is what you really want to do. You would be surprised what you can give up id you really want to make a dream come true. The only problem is sometimes when dreams come true it can be a let down. But you never know until you try.

Life is where you make it. The only advantage I had was I joined the Air Force and got to travel the world. Otherwise I would have been stuck in Massachusetts and not seen anything. But with each advantage there are disadvantages, such as it is difficult and expensive to see my family. and I still have to pay taxes LOL.

I retired from the Air Force and Live in England now. Let me guess you are a Yankee's fan. Nothing wrong with that it's just an assumption as you are in NY. And yes I am a red sox fan. But only via the news on the web as I don't ever get to see a game.

It might. It is 1;20 in the morning here I have to get up and cook breakfast in six hours not in the least tired. I suffer from insomnia. It's a good thing I learned how to deal with lack of sleep when I was in the Air Force. LOL
