OMG LOCKE *wide eyes* OMFG TARYN *wider eyes*

hm, i'll think about it!!

let me be hopelessly obsessed with you Bee :)

Bee i think you mean thoughts in the form of rants.... *grinning*

hehehe i'm grinning so hard rn

YESSS i know right???? aghhh Cardan you're making it hard to justify loving you

so hi. i finished last night, and literally had to sit there staring into nothing and trying to hold my heart together before i could even attempt a review (still RTC and it may take a while of recovery lmao) but OMG IT WAS SO INCREDIBLY GOOD. even better then the first one for me, and i'm so psyched to read the third one (just started! oh, my sweet little murderer jude). i'm not really sure what to say about this book yet, and i guess i'll wait for some other comments haha but i wil say this. CARDAN I FREAKING TRUSTED YOU!!! AND YOU TOOK THAT TRUST AND RIPPED IT APART AND THREW IT IN THE UNDERSEA LIKE YOU DIDN'T EVEN CARE!!!! (why do i still love you??) when Jude was making the deal at the end i just *knew* something was wrong, but the way they all laughed at her?? oh god Jude i felt for you.
my favorite scenes in the book: Jude stealing the antidote hehe yasss queen, jude and cardan scene in ch 15, CARDAN TELLING HER ABOUT HOW HE FELT WHEN SHE WAS IN THE UNDERSEA (i teared up there), and cardan telling jude he trusted her. oh yes and every other jude/cardan scene that didn't tear my heart apart, although if my heart were intact i wouldn't love the book this much. i have such a tortured look on my face while writing this ong XD

*grinning* yes it's amazing :) how's book three?

really? i'm about 3/4 through the wicked king and i love it even more

hi! that sounds cool and really fun! i'd be able to help you, *however* i don't think i'll be reading Turtles All the Way Down, because i have a lot of BRs planned for Feb already. if i could still be of any help, please let me know! good luck :)

hm yeah i do like how the character is written. she seems so nice and innocent at first, but when we find out more about her, she changes so much

i read it last night, and although Taryn isn't my favorite character (well ofc not lol) i really liked the writing, and i liked the fariy-tale connections throughout. although the BE BOLD BE BOLD BUT NOT TOO BOLD thing was kinda repetitive, i thought it summed up fairy tales and also how women are supposed to act in society really well. i liked reading it right after the cruel prince, but idk how Taryn will act in the second book... sooo ig i'll find out :)

i think i'll be able to get the book later today :)

SIX OF CROWS IS SO GOOD i hope you love it :)))

wow sorry i saw this so late XDD
there is NOTHING that is important in Six of Crows that you will miss if you read it first. NOTHING. there are a few minor characters that you will know from Shadow and Bone, but it won't be confusing at all. everything is explained clearly and well. there are a few references that i didn't notice in SoC until i started S+B, but they seemed like they were mostly there to give the reader a fun little phrase if they'd read the other books. nothing you'd catch if you hadn't read them though. the MC is S+B just wasn't very interesting to me, and i didn't enjoy reading in her perspective. SoC is set in a different city then S+B so that isn't confusing either. it's mostly just those few characters that you would understand their backstory (which actually, not many of the MCs in SoC even know) and know more about them. so, up to you, but it's not necessary to read S+B.
meimyselfandbooks wrote: "I want to read Six of Crows so badly as well as the Shadow and Bone series because of the series coming out in April (I always try to read the book before I watch the book/movie) I heard the Shadow..."i personally DNF the second novel because i wasn't enjoying it. so i wouldn't recommend the series, especially compared to Six of Crows, which has much-improved writing and characters and is just such a great book. if you do decide to read them, i hope you like it :)
