Caspian clung to him like she would never let go and Dante felt like he was going to lose it right then and there. He pulled apart from her and looked at her. “Are you sure?” He asked.

He had to make sure.

He HAD to, because once they did it there was no going back, no more fights, no more ultimatums.

They would love each other properly, like they should.

But their love was a complicated mess and that’s why he loved it. It was chaotic and messy, twisted and broken.

But it was THEIRS.

No one else’s.

She was his star.

He should’ve realized that a long time ago, but his dumbass instead broke her time and time again.

Sure, you could argue that Cas did too, but it didn’t matter.

He regretted deeply.

Dante looked at Cas once more, before kissing her again.

This time the kiss went deeper. Maybe deeper than any other kiss they had shared before, even the one that had the day they met.

When they decided to fuck one another 15 minutes after meeting.

Maybe that’s where it went wrong. Everything had happened too fast, too quickly for neither one of them to deal with. First it was Ace, then Eleonora, then Delilah.

But maybe it just made their love stronger.

Dante pushed Cas on the floor, and he kissed her intently.

A light brown finger traced the outline of the cup, as Aeris watched him with his white eyes.

Eyes that were an ivory white, that was probably the reason everyone was warded off by him. Also, probably his ash hair.

That didn’t help, in retrospect.

Also, his pet Hellhound.

Aeris watched the man, the way he moved with a swagger that spoke volumes, and he immediately hated it. The man looked like the world owed him something.

He narrowed his eyes.

Hesitantly, Dante pulled back.

Somehow, Cas was in his lap and he just—

Fuckkkkkkk.

He stared at Cas before placing his forehead on hers. “I love you so much.” He said softly, barely over a whisper.

His hand was on her thigh, and he so badly wanted to take her right now and there, but only if she wanted it. Only if she NEEDED him as badly as he needed her.

“Are you willing?” He asked softly, staring at her, wanting to kiss her again, wanting to… hug her. Be close to her. Find their balance again.

Grow old and dumb with her.

The Prince of Wrath sipped from tea in a dainty china cup.

It was almost ridiculous how absurd that sentence sounded, and yet, he was doing it. And he didn’t care one bit.

He watched the people around him as they went in and out the store, how some said hello to Bertrand.

He also noticed a couple of glances at him, but no one ever actually had the balls to approach him. He always wondered who would finally gather the strength enough to come up to him and talk to him.

So, of course, he was quite shocked to see a Giustizia walk into the Cafe.

For context: Giustizia were rare here in Aenia, considering there were very few witches (aka: no one ever actually revealed their power for fear of the king and what he would do.) and very few beings who HUNTED the witches.

Strange.

Kissin was great.

Kissing Caspian Lamendola was FUCKING AMAZING.

There was a difference between the two.

As soon as he kissed her, Dante felt the magic around him shudder and drop, but her didn’t care. He didn’t care that his father was possibly alive and didn’t come to him all these years while he suffered and almost died—

Okay, maybe he cared a BIT.

But Caspian meant more.

Caspian, the wonderful woman he was kissing right now, who made him feel so bad and good all at the same time and FUCK.

Dante looked deeply into Cas’ eyes. The way they stared at him, the piercing in them, the way she smiled with her eyes. He felt himself leaning forward… and before he could even think, he smack his lips against hers.

Dante’s mouth was Ortes slightly in awe. He’d seen Cas use her power before, but this?

This was something beautiful and unnatural all at once.

He closed his eyes and began to speak. “Whoever is out there listening, I just need to know: is my father alive?”

As soon as the words left his lips, he felt the weight of them, the pain it might possibly carry.

Distantly, Duke heard Mal speak.

But he was to focused on the fact that his FATHER WAS RIDING THE DEMON. Duke stared at the tiny blot of the man, the glint off his golden crown that let Duke know who it was.

What the fuck was happening to him?

“Darian! Strange to see you here. And Malory! How are you two wonderful children?” His father called, landing in front of them.

Duke’s blood was chilled. “Father.”

His father nodded at him for a moment, before a smile cracked onto his face.

Dante’s eye twitched. Fuck.

Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck—

Why. WHY did Cas decide to wear a dress? Why would she do this to him knowing damn well—

Fuck.

Dante grabbed her hands and interlaced their fingers. In simple witch magic, it was known for possibly making a stronger connection, or transferring magic. He wasn’t sure which one they were doing right now, and Honest to Satan, he didn’t care.

Dante found his eyes dropping down, down, down.. before they snapped right back up to face Cas’.

Thank Satan that Acelopina wasn’t here, and was off probably throwing Bloo.

“So.” Dante said, softly.

“Mal,” Duke spoke, his eyes flowing a white light, “I want to take my father down as much as you do but you CAN’T—“

He paused.

“Mal? Is that part of your mindfuckery?”

Distantly, Duke felt like it wasn’t Mal that was fucking with his mind. That Mal was as just as a pawn in this as he was, and that they were being dragged to something.

Something IMPORTANT.

Duke motioned to the giant behind Mal. It was huge, with dark leathery skin, and wings that were the size of a small country.

“I’m supposed to help you always,” Dante grumbled, “your supposed to be relaxed.”

But he did as told. He sat in front of Cas, and stared at her in her eyes.

Which was a lot easier said than done.

He felt like he wanted to take her right then and there, on those nasty ass floorboards that probably would give their bare skin asbestos.

And it didn’t help that she was wearing a dress.

It made it worse, actually.

“Okay, Ms Lamendola. Or Infernalis? Do you still retain my last name?”

Dante realized his mistake as soon as he said it, and closed his eyes.

Duke stumbled a bit, biting back a cry as his foot hit the ground.

But he stood.

And he stared Mal in his eyes, his wonderful cousin that he always aspired to be like, always envied, and he saw.

He saw so deeply what the King had done to him, just how BADLY his parents’s death had went.

Duke closed his eyes, and opened them again. This time the world had changed to an open landscape, the sun rising behind him.

He let out a breath. Then he opened his palms, and he shined his light towards Mal’s eyes.



*ARE WE SETTING UP A DUKE AND MAL FIGHT??? I’m into it**

Dante rolled his eyes. Hard.

“Dare you have the AUDACITY to talk about yourself. I enjoy it. A lot more than you think.”

He shimmied himself over to where Caspian was. “But you are right. We should probably get this whole ‘I can read the stars and shit to find out where your dead father is’ thing off the ground. Or, at the least, clean up because this treehouse is dirty as hell.”

It really was. Dante was surprised as it is to see that only one animal had taken root in the house, and it looked to be a.. wererat? He couldn’t really tell.

The skeletons of wererats were very ambiguous.

“So your mother was clearly the demon in the relationship, then.” Dante said.

He meant it as a joke, because it was clearly obvious that Eleonora was simply a human who was a little TOO self aware of her existence in this vast world, and how much of a prey she was for different creatures.

So she got power.

In other sentiments, it actually would’ve been quite admirable, but the way she got power- and actually physically MEETING Eleonora and fighting her- affected the empathy.

“Do you want to know about your father?” Dante asked, moving past Cas to reach the kitchen. It was quite dusty, considering it’s been 16 straight years since Dante was last in the treehouse, but him and Cas would make it work.

If they didn’t fuck their aggressions out of one another by then.

Dante looked at Cas and smiled. He noticed that she was finally breaking down her walls for him, finally TALKING to him. She took his advice.

Maybe he should take hers.

Duke stared at Mal as his face ripped apart, his breath coming in pants. “Oh my Saints. Oh my Saints. Oh my—“

A thump echoed behind him.

Duke went still.

Another thump behind them, then all that was left in front of him was Mal’s eyes, staring at him into his soul, into who he was and oh saints oh saints FUCK.

Duke slowly turned around.

And he came face to face with Mal.

Cas: I’m about to end this man’s LIFE

Daemonium: also known as demons, these are merely a product of nature, though no one knows how they were first created. Daemonium are classified by three different categories: Higher, Lower, and Royal.

A Higher Demon is normally the product of more powerful witches, such as Caspian Lamendola. They are known for their most powerful abilities, like controlling Hellfire.

A Lower Demon is basically the reason all witches exist. They are especially noted for anything, though their power ranges from heightened sense to telekinesis.

A Royal Demon normally fits in with Hell’s Royalty, or are specifically noted for something that they did. They normally don’t have kids, but the revered Princes of Hell have multiple children out their in the world. Royal Demons’ power is unknown, as well as the limit to their power.
