In central north island NZ, it is windy, but with little patches of blue between the clouds and not so cold today as it has been. Scuddy little occasional showers.

If I remember correctly The Wire was based on Val McDermid's book by the same name. I saw it and it was good.

And I have just been gifted a copy of Saving Anna which I am really looking forward to. I loved Toni Allen's

Hester and Harriet - it sounds like one of those warm 'comfy' books - it called to me from the shelf and I just went with it.

B, you and me both! I am drawn to anything Irish. I love listening to them speak. We had an Irish barmaid for a couple of years and I always rostered myself on with her, just so I could listen to her talk. I can see I am going to have to add his other books to my TBR list. Thanks for passing this one my way!

Think they got lost in transit Evelyn! It is cold, wet and blustery today. All the heating is on and I am back in winter clothes....8:( Definitely won't be sending this on to you for next April.

Evelyn, you can't be having winter yet, we are still having it herein NZ! We lit the fire again the other day, and today has been a very mixed bag. weather forecast for the next few days is nasty - cold and wet....when is summer going to arrive? We get the odd day, just to tease us...
