Wow, Brian - I've never heard of that Twain novel before, but it sounds fascinating! Yes, I think I probably prefer Twain's brand of humor in smaller doses, though this does sound very interesting - love the subtitle!

1094649 And I am onto my 2nd Big Book in print now: Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty. This is my first-ever novel by this very popular author, and I'm enjoying it so far - very engrossing!

1094649 I am listening to my first Big Book audio this summer: A Beginning at the End. This book about a global pandemic that came out in January was supposed to be science fiction, but it's now sounding awfully familiar! Must have been mind-blowing for the author, Mike Chen, to watch things unfold this spring! It's a good book so far.

Sounds good, Allen - I have been meaning to read more Dan Brown. I loved the Da Vinci Code, and we have several other of his novels here (including Origin, I think). My husband has read most of them, but I need to catch up!

Welcome officially to Big Book Summer, Ken! Ken usually plays along unofficially, so this year he joined Goodreads. He's got some good chunksters to choose from!

That's a great idea, Karen. I have several short story collections I never get to because I am usually in the mood for a novel. I should try reading the stories one at a time, too!
