I also was reading CP when it was still a WIP online.
I'm hoping the discussion here helps with the wait for book three!"Hi Anna, thanks for joining us. Waiting for book 3 seems to be the name of the game around here.

It seems like it will most certainly remain MM, and should have all the good parts :P

I will also add that CS Pacat has been most gracious to her competitors. And funny too, with her little cartoons.

Hive fives for everyone! Seriously, this is great news for Captive Prince fans. It is also a great message to Penguin that they picked a winner.

LOL Rachel, you are the Wolf Blitzer of Captivated, keeping us up to date on the polls. Thanks.

Phew, that was a squeaker. High fives for CS Pacat and Captive Prince. And a big fist bump for the fans, if CP wins we will be collecting some tasty bribes. Next round is April 5th.

Caro, as far as I know, there is no release date yet. :(

Hi Juliana, glad you found our group, and no you are not the only one obsessed with the books. It's an exciting time for Captive Prince fans with book 3 in the works and the dabwaha tournament going on. Have fun exploring the threads and joining in on the discussion.

There is more discussion at the topic

From CS Pacat's
latest live journal updateHello all! The official Penguin release of Captive Prince is still to come, but the "handover" has happened, which means that the versions for sale now are no longer administered by me, they are administered by Penguin. The good news is that the books should now be available on all platforms, including iTunes and Nook.
The handover might have caused a few blips here or there, as the books briefly disappear in different regions (eg Australia) while waiting for various penguins to step in. If the book is temporarily not available in your region, never fear, it should be back shortly.
You should also be aware that the current Penguin digital versions no longer contain the "extras" scenes as Penguin has decided to reserve those for inclusion in their official paperback release.
As for book three, I'm still working on the manuscript, and it's going wonderfully! There's no official date yet (obviously, as I am still writing) but I will let you all know as soon as the draft is done.
I also have some very, very exciting news about foreign rights sales coming up – it looks like Captive Prince will be coming out in a few different languages and countries and I can't wait to share the news with you all as soon as it becomes dotted-line official.
For up to date news and announcements, you can catch me on Twitter at cspacat. I'm off to write!

I have the SU Pacat ebooks from Amazon with the extra chapters. Unfortunately they don't seem to have the lending option available. I have not heard any news about the fate of the extra chapters.

Hello Patricia, thanks for joining. Maybe you can write some CP fanfic while we wait book 3 and the official ending!

Hi there Caro, thanks for joining the group. I can understand the skepticism for a book that comes with such high praise, it seems like a setup for disappointment. Fortunately that did not happen with CP!

Hi Therese... so glad to see you here. You are now officially a member of my two favorite groups :)

Hi Alex... I am happy you found us, lots of good discussion here. Captive Prince has served as a gateway book for many of us to new genres (slave, m/m, fantasy). It's good to branch out occasionally. Laurent is a very compelling character and the author is clever in that you don't realize at first just how important he is.

Morgana wrote: "Ciao nice CP fans out there!
It's great to see that we come from everywhere to chat about this saga: a testament to its quality that without big publicity has reached popularity, & I bet that with..."Thanks for joining us Morgana. I just saw your other post about what Damen and Laurent know. Regarding CP rereads, you will be rewarded with ideas and insights that you didn't get the first time around. Every time someone makes a thoughtful post on the discussion boards i get the urge to reread
Nereida wrote: "Hi! I'm Nereida. I've been a fan of CP for ages and lurked the discussions in various places, but I've never done much commenting myself. Greek, excellent analysis. It might be a great project for someone
(looks around the room O_O) to create a poster presentation of the reasons pointing to why Laurent knows who Damen is. I like your comment that it's Damen's perception of Laurent that changes throughout the story. It has been said that Damen is an unreliable narrator, and I agree. I think the author uses that as a tool to keep the air of uncertainty. And that begs that question, does Damen know that Laurent knows who he is? I don't think Damen leads us to believe that he aware that Laurent knows his identity, but then again, he is the unreliable narrator. I personally think that Damen keeps himself in denial, either consciously or unconsciously, just to carry on.
