Somewhere in this forum (maybe even this thread, I'm too lazy to search) there was discussion that Pacat would go against conventional wisdom and make it so Laurent didn't know. But this idea, that she will never definitively reveals what Laurent knew is brilliant. It's right up there with not knowing where the Simpson's Springfield is.
Welcome to the group Reiki. Captive Prince is one of those books that is very layered and very detailed, even reading in your native language it's easy to miss details. It's a great book for re-reading.
Hi Mitch, I'm glad you found Captive Prince and this group. In addition to what Rachel has mentioned, this topic https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... offers some speculation. CS Pacat is a crafty author and rarely makes anything easy and obvious, but we love her for that.

I saw this earlier but it was behind a paywall when I tried to access it. Here is a trick - go to google/news and put pacat in the search box. The article comes up and when you click the link it isn't behind the paywall.
