Somewhere in this forum (maybe even this thread, I'm too lazy to search) there was discussion that Pacat would go against conventional wisdom and make it so Laurent didn't know. But this idea, that she will never definitively reveals what Laurent knew is brilliant. It's right up there with not knowing where the Simpson's Springfield is.

Welcome to the group Reiki. Captive Prince is one of those books that is very layered and very detailed, even reading in your native language it's easy to miss details. It's a great book for re-reading.

Hi Mitch, I'm glad you found Captive Prince and this group. In addition to what Rachel has mentioned, this topic
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... offers some speculation. CS Pacat is a crafty author and rarely makes anything easy and obvious, but we love her for that.

Fair warning, there's no sex and little romance, but it is *such* ..."I really want to read this, but right now everything in my life is just too noisy. I think I will put it down for a 2016 goal.

Hello Kaylie, welcome to a group of fellow CP fans who also think it's underrated. I hope you enjoy exploring the discussions around the books, including speculation about the long awaited book 3.

Hello Carrie, thanks for joining us. And thanks Lei for pointing her in this direction. I hope you enjoy the discussion and help pass the time while jonesing for book 3.

I saw this earlier but it was behind a paywall when I tried to access it. Here is a trick - go to google/news and put pacat in the search box. The article comes up and when you click the link it isn't behind the paywall.

Thanks for posting these Onyx... reminds me, I need to get my paperback of Princes Gambit for my collection.
Anna wrote: "Hi! I just joined, I'm really excited to be here. Happy reading everyone!"Hi Anna. Thanks for joining and on book 2 release day no less! (although it feels strange calling it a release when most of us have read it long ago)

Another day, another article. I don't think this has been posted yet. Apologies if it's a duplicate. Author just tweeted it, but the article says March 31 2015.

Feb 2016?!?..,cries....

You are welcome Morgana, and I am happy to hear that you are spreading the word. Honestly, finding these articles and interviews is simply a byproduct everyday fangirl activities, aka following the author on twitter :)

Thank you twitter, chibi Damen and Laurent

Thank you for the quotes and links Deliane.
Onyx wrote: "At the end of the day the article was positive, so I can only get so upset..."I fall on this side of the argument. When you are promoting, there's no such thing as bad press, especially when it comes from a mainstream
(view spoiler)[I hate the term, especially since hit has been co-opted by Fox news, but I am not sure what else to call it (hide spoiler)] source.

Oh, and Rachel's review got cited in the recap as well.

decoded text behind the spoilers
(view spoiler)[Chapter 1 of Book 3 kicks off from where Book 2 left off – the Akielon army is kneeling before Damen and the whispers of ‘Damianos’ are being carried through the entire army. However, the mood turns into outrage and fear once the Veretians gathered around the courtyard begin to hear Damen’s real name and violence is beginning to bristle amongst the Veretians and Akielons. Damen realises he’s totally underestimated how angry the Veretians would be to realise he is the ‘Prince-Killer’. Though he’s calling for calm/order, Damen realises he’s going to lose control of the situation if he doesn’t act soon. His only choice is to tell the Akielon forces to ‘take the fort’ (ie. Ravenel). Guymar and Jord are brought to Damen under guard and Damen insists that he is still here to fight together with Laurent and the Veretians but Guymar spits in front of Damen before being led away. Jord is unsurprised and asks Damen what he’s going to do when Laurent finds out. Damen essentially says, ‘Then we’ll be facing each other for the first time’. (hide spoiler)]
