http://rhlibrary.wordpress.com/2008/1...Is this going to be the first Horror film inspired by the new weird?
Has anyone read this story?
Josh, Your impersonation of Matt is so succinct that you have revealed yourself to be Matt Miller impersonating Josh impersonating himself. Now, that you are exposed impostor let me go ahead and say that: No, you can't borrow 30 dollars.
Paul,
What great news that you've finally saw a vagina. Congratulations young sir. But, your new found success begs the question: Did you put something in her drink or go the more direct route of tranquilizing darts?
Sir, I've seen what you do to leftovers. That's why I'm writing this from an insane asylum. Matt Miller should be here any second.
From "At Reparata""huge, diaphanous moth with wings as big as bed sheets. It looked only a hair more substantial than a ghost..."
It flies over some folks watching it.
"Powder that had fallen from the moth reached our eyes. It caused in me a sorrow more deep than the one I experienced upon my mother's death...
The entire court was reduced to tears."

Okay, we'll stay out of the arctic for the time being. How about:
Call of Cthulhu
or
Shadow over Innsmouth?
I vote for "Call of Cthulhu". I haven't even read it. For shame!
Up to Five members, cool.Welcome Paul and Jonathan.
As new members can you say a little bit about yourselves?
Paul, you seem like you'd be horrible and French. Is this true? Hope you can read this English (The far superior language).
Jonathan, you seem like someone who would eat your roommates really, really old leftovers. That's disgusting!
Do you guys know any cool, smart people that might like to join? :-)
Therefore, x(Fantasy+Science fiction x cyberpunk + steampunk)+ Lovecraftian horrors= Perdido Street Station.
Josh, the other member here, is actually well-read when it comes to Lovecraft. Josh, suggestions? Or if you had something particular in mind,Nate, feel free to suggest some stories.
Jeff and Ann VanderMeer go through the lineage of the New Weird in their anthology the New Weird. Unlike most anthologies, it is a bit of a scholarly work, and they seem to have the inside angle on the New Weird.I add it to our book list. Thanks for joining the group and thanks even more for posting.
