I just landed back on the mainland. I do plan on digging into this. Thanks for the updates Deb.

Thank you so much for the introduction.
SusanAhh wrote: "Here's what I think... explained more fully. The threats to Danny's life and business began with the death of his father who adopted him and left him his criminal empire. The uncle was in business ..."I agree up to a point. Someone
(view spoiler)[ who I will never know who, told Nox that Danny and Rose were on the balcony when he blew it up, someone also tipped them off about going to the warehouse. I also thought Rose was bait, but Nox was trying to out bid Danny and he too needed the mayor to get the deal. Plus someone new he was coming to dinner with no guards at the Uncle's house. Just a few points that the author did not show us how the Uncle could have known, what Danny was doing.
Just my opinion. (hide spoiler)]

Fifty Shades of Grey a true run for the money?

(view spoiler)[ had a ghost writer. There were some serious holes in this story, and leads that never materialized. Which is very un Jodi and more LJ (hide spoiler)] There is quite a bit of chatter on LJ's business practices as of late. I would never put her in the same class as Jodi. Two completely different people. Ethics, and writing styles.

yes it would have been better if not all the walls were intact. I think of Thornchapel as being a small half wall and perhaps parts of an alter.
Laura wrote: "I wonder if Brad will get a book next to fill in the holes?"uh, Brad was sorta a henchman. I don't know if we really want his story or something more from Jodi. It's been awhile since she wrote something yummy. In my opinion.
Carly wrote: "So with the uncle. [spoilers removed]"I don't recall them actually saying they found the mole. That's why I am pissed.

Missing you lots.. hope you had a great day.
the MC is a bully and so mean. The book is actually very funny. The whole series is high school bully trope. I loved that book.
SusanAhh wrote: "Carly wrote: "So I don't know if I missed it or not, [spoilers removed]"
@Carly and Nik
[spoilers removed]"I kinda disagree. I believe
(view spoiler)[ Danny's uncle was the one who banked rolled Nox so that he was powerful and had access to buyers and cash since his Dad and brothers were killed. But we had several incidents that Nox was tipped off and it had nothing to do with the uncle. I believe someone close to Danny was the mole and it was never really discovered. (hide spoiler)]

I saw this today on FB, what say you? Do you see Thornchapel?

Thanks for posting. Looks good.

that is so cool. A brilliant idea actually (hint hint) Books change as popularity and other things influence writers. That's a great reading challenge prompt.
Hazel wrote: "I sent Jennifer a PM. Hoping she is ok. She will hopefully be online soon and can pick her books. In the meantime everyone can start this quarters challenge.
Happy reading🥳"Thanks for putting this together. I am excited about my picks.
