Kea chuckled lightly. “Are we just going to stand around again? Or are you going to take me anywhere?”

Kea looked away, her eyebrows furrowed. “It’s just stupid is all.”

Kea’s face reddened and she looked away, crossing her arms.

Kea looked up and grinned. “Zara! I’ve been- I mean- fancy seeing you here,” she stuttered.

Kea stared at the ground, leaning against a tree close to the building nervously. “I should just- just go inside,” she muttered.

Kea left the MAPA building, staying close to the door. She knew it was useless, Zara wouldn’t show, she be hoped. She stood there for a good ten minutes, almost giving up.

Lex grimaced. “I’m not a fighter, i don’t even know how to punch. The only fighting i know is from DnD.”

Lex looked at their notification and grinned. “Awesome!”

Lex nodded, running a hand through their shorn hair. “Yeah, that’s good.”

Lex nodded and did so, putting a little smiley face after their name. “If you text me, tell me your name because i don’t answer if i don’t know them.”

“You could text me if it gets too bad?” Lex unintentionally just offered their number to Rhyme without realizing it.

Kea woke up after her so called ‘nap’ many hours later feeling slightly refreshed but guilty about how much time she wasted when she could’ve been doing other things. She pulled on a jacket, redid her two french braids, and left the room.

“You gotta stay safe, okay?” Lex said nervously.

“What?? Really?” Lex said, surprised.

Lex looked slightly worried. “Well, be more careful.”
