At one point while reading The Hating Game I said, "This perfect book is perfect" aloud.
Zizzy wrote: "Well, its not Dani that they're attracted to, its Jada. Which I suppose tries to draw your mind away from the age issue. Except I lived Dani and want her back."I suppose that argument could be made, but the fact remains that all 3 men felt possessive and desirous of Dani long before she became Jada. They may not have acted on the physical side, but the emotional connection existed when she was a child. An abused, broken child being desired by not one but 3 grown men.

I will read anything and everything Sarah writes so I devoured this book. I can't say that it was my favorite. It felt like more of a throwback to traditional historical romances and there was emphasis on some supporting characters that didn't interest me. She has said that she's basing this series on The Kardashians so that's something I can get behind. :)

Christina Lauren can do no wrong. I loved loved th surfing scene and thought Luke was hilarious. But I agree with Anna, we must have a full length Not-Joe story.

While I'm thinking about it. I have always given the whole pedophile angle of soft pass because nothing actually happened or was said. But in this book two adult men admit to wanting a 14 year old deeply disturbed and abused girl and we are all supposed to be okay with it. I'm not.

I just finished Feverborn and I'm sad to say I only give it 2 stars. Mac annoyed me to no end. The timeline was completely unrealistic. There hasn't been enough personal growth or character development for any of the characters. Absolutely no plot points were resolved. This was a filler book that was extremely disappointing.

Forgot to add, I really enjoyed the racial implications of having a mix raced character time traveling.

This book was fun!
I loved the idea and setting aside some pacing issues it was an enjoyable read. I'll look forward to reading the next one.

Kathryn, I think you better read Burned. You may be able to get by with just reading spoilers from Iced, but it was actually a better read than I thought it would be.

Kathryn, the last third of the book was fun, huh? I think I'll like the second book even more as we get to know the other chapters. I especially love Gallagher.

Has anyone else started Menagerie yet? I'm about halfway done and it's a really interesting book. I have no clue where she's going with it which is a nice change.

Here's my final review! I really liked this one.

I finished reading Six of Crows at 6am because I couldn't put it down. Sure, I'm exhausted, but it may be my favorite book I've read this year. It was funny, surprising, smart and made me swoon. Loved it.

Myria, this thread is for A Six of Crows. I hope you'll read it with us!

You're making me so excited to read it, MC!

I've only just begun this book, but does anyone else involuntarily think of Frozen when they mention the Ice Court?

Just finished Uprooted and I enjoyed every second of it.

I finally finished The Martian. This is perhaps the first book that I'm glad I knew who the movie cast was before reading it. Seeing Matt Damon, Jessica Chatain, etc in my head made the technical material so much easier to relate to. For such a technical book it was riveting and I'm glad I read it, although I'm kinda wishing I had paid more attention in trig and physics in high school. This is one of those rare case when I think I'll end up liking the movie more than the book though.

So far this book, while interesting, has been extremely successful at putting me to sleep.
