1034962 Well I did not do as great this week. I had a ton of orders come into my shop, so I went to the post office every day, and I had to do lesson plans for my students and give feedback on their work! Anyone else working from home? How are you finding it? I am struggling to stay motivated some days lol.

I did, however, read 'A Court of Frost and Starlight' by Sarah J Maas, which is a novella after the 3rd book to set up the 4th spin off book in the series.

1034962 Stuck with my 2 books for the week! I hope I can this week, but my Etsy shop is blowing up with orders for face masks!

I read 'A Court of Wings and Ruin' by Sarah J Maas, the third book in the ACOTAR series. I really like this book in the series too, even though the second is my favorite! I still highly recommend this series, it's seriously my all time favorite!

I also FINALLY finished 'House of Earth and Blood' by Sarah J Maas, Crescent City #1. This book was very different (to me) than what I was expecting and that may have caused me to push it off longer. However, once you get to p. 451 prepare to finish the book that day lol, and the ending is a whiplash of information.

How's everyone else doing??

1034962 I read 'House of Earth and Blood' (Crescent City Book #1) by Sarah J Maas for this category. I love Maas's writing, but I will say this book was a little slow going. It started picking up for me 250/300 pages in, and the first major twist that will definitely suck you in is p. 451 (out of 799 pages it's over halfway though). But after that page it does get to Maas level greatness.

1034962 Had a good week this week!

I first read/listened to 'Long Bright River' by Liz Moore, which was my April book club pick. I used this as a book with a 3 word title. This was a well written book, it is about 2 sisters. One sister, Mickey, is a cop, the other, Kacey, a drug addict. When the drug addicts are now starting to be victims in murders, Mickey is concerned for Kacey's whereabouts, only to discover no one has seen her for over a month. They don't talk anymore, so she has no way to contact her. Is Kacey another victim? Or will Mickey be able to find her in time?

I also read 'A Court of Mist and Fury' by Sarah J. Maas, which is the 2nd book in the ACOTAR series, and my all time favorite of that series and in general. I highly recommend, and chapter 55 is the BEST.

I then finished 'Karen's Witch' by Ann M. Martin, the graphic novel version. It was cute and I've enjoyed the graphic novels of the babysitter's club series as well.

I'm still staying ahead in my goodreads challenge (7 ahead), but one behind in this one, although I am currently reading 2 that count for the challenge - I just need to finish them!

How's everyone else doing on their challenges?

1034962 Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well with everything that's going on!

For this week I got 1 book finished, I was busy setting up my online classroom and then students had come back!

I re-read 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' by Sarah J Maas. This was the book that hooked me into her world, and it is an amazing series. It's my 4th time re-reading the series and book 4 comes out next year! This first book is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, taking place in Prythian, a land ruled by the Fae. And Feyre has just gotten herself trapped there for killing one of their kind. But strange things are happening in Prythian, and not everything is as it seems. Can she figure out the curse and how to break it? And if she doesn't, can she save Tamlin, the male she's fallen in love with?
This series, as I said, is amazing but my favorite is the second, 'A Court of Mist and Fury'. I got back into these books because my friend and I are doing a re-read together and virtual book club!

I really loved this series! The second one I think is definitely better than the first and she did a good job wrapping it up in Finale.

1034962 For this one I read 'The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest' by Steig Larsson (Millennium Series #3). I finished it in January, and Lisbeth Salander is in her mid-late 20's! I love this series, and I highly recommend it!

1034962 I got 4 books read this week! First I read the ARC 'Fate' by Helen Hardt which is book #13 in the Steel Brothers Saga and is actually a prequel. I loved it! Can't wait for the other 2!

I also read 'Pumpkinheads' by Rainbow Rowell, which was such a cute story. It follows 2 friends on their last night working at a pumpkin patch/farm and one of them trying to get up the nerve to talk to the girl he likes. Super cute fast read!

I finally finished 'The Curse of the Gloamglozer' by Paul Stewart, which was a really good book once I got back into it. I read this series in middle school and loved being able to go back and reread!

Lastly I finished 'Return to the Hundred Acre Wood' by David Benedictus which was a cute read because I love Pooh, but overall didn't really hold my interest.

How did everyone else do? Anyone else reading more because you're working from home?

1034962 I finished 1 book last week, which was 'Red Scrolls of Magic' by Cassandra Clare, which follows between Mortal Instruments books 3 and 4 about Alec and Magnus's adventures. I LOVED this book. It was a cute, fun read to see how our favorite couple started out.

Last week was a weird week, with it technically being spring break (I'm a teacher) but not going anywhere or doing anything. I did a lot of TV bingeing, and now I've gotten back into doing some reading. (I've finished 3 books yesterday alone!) I'm now working from home though, so we'll see how the rest of the week fares!

Has anyone else been moved to working from home because of everything going on? I know I miss my students and am very worried about them. I also am going a bit stir crazy at home! And yesterday my daughter was supposed to be baptized, but we've had to postpone because of the virus. Who else will be happy when this is all over??? I know I will! In the meantime, we have beautiful books to keep us company...

1034962 Still got a couple books read, which surprised me with everything going on in my school last week!

I read 'The Ironwood Tree' which is book 4 in the Spiderwick Chronicles. If you need any books to catch you up in your challenge, I highly recommend these!

I also listened to 'Hunted' by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast, which was book 5 in the House of Night series.

Hopefully with spring break I can get reading done! I seem to keep picking up books but not finishing them!
