Agree with you on that Ludlum has got the heart-pounding read down pat!

1) "Rotten Gods" by Greg Barron
2) "Power Down" by Ben Coes
3)"Ratcatcher" by Tim Stevens
4) "Delivering Caliban" by Tim Stevens
5) "Executive ..."
Rotten Gods by Greg Barron - good pick there! And Savage Tide - the opening scenes of that book are visceral and emotive in a gut-wrenching kind of way. Greg is a fantastic Aussie talent, and a great guy :)

I like all of Brad Thor's cover artwork! Cool guy!

... and good luck!

Chris loves the Ian Fleming Bond series of early paperback covers but Richie Fahey did a fresh series a few years ago which he is particularly fond of. I'm sure you'll see some of those!
I always loved looking at the copy of The First Stone by Helen Garner (below) which was a calming vision, although reading the book is not...
What are the covers you love, thriller and otherwise?

The problem with Alex Morgan is he always seems to be happy to move onto the next bird Steve... Charlie Fleming, case in point!

Right at the moment, Sarah, I'm not doing so hot, so have very little time online - just odd m..."
Look after yourself Steve - hoping you're feeling better by the time you read this. I just saw your update and want you to know we are thinking of you and sending good vibes your way :) Best, Sar

Helicopter parents and tiger moms / mums are the toughest of them all!

Just a brilliant review Steve, thank you kindly and all the very best to you and yours :) Sar ps I'm waiting patiently for Avenger too

Steve, if you can find us an online book club in your timezone, we will make it happen!

If you slept through it (Steve ;) here's the link below and a few tidbits from the conversation:
"Unfortunately, my career during the post 9/11 environment was keeping me very busy and so I wasn't able to review and re-write my manuscripts as quickly as I would have liked. Hence, the 10 years it eventually took."
"Social networking, particularly for new or aspiring writers is absolutely critical if you are serious about building awareness and drawing in an audience that will potentially be interested in your work."
"In the first novel Defender, I described Alex Morgan's blood being up as he prepared to hunt down a wanted criminal. At that point, Morgan was in his car and decided to play music that matched his mood. I used the album State of Emergency by The Living End. They're one of my favourite bands and that album is full of energy!"
"I graduated to classics like The Count of Monte Cristo and so on, absolutely loved those types of stories. But when I discovered Ian Fleming's The Man With The Golden Gun in the school library, I knew that I wanted to do what Fleming had done."

I started reading

I would say that this is a case for Alex Morgan but it seems he's already involved and may in fact BE the problem.
I will escalate this complaint to the highest levels Steve and have it resolved ASAP. Unless, of course, you resolve it first by finishing the book!

We want to know who - what it is about them you resemble - and any other info you're game to share!

Here it is: https://www.facebook.com/events/59..."
Thanks Erin! It's going to be great fun. We will have to do a Book Club event that fits with our US friends timezones soon ;)
