The book contains several heartwarming stories of the love and joy cats bring to their owners. Some I found not as interesting as others but still a cat lover would enjoy the book overall, and be able to relate to the stories.
My cat Romeo gave it 3.5 meows 🐱🐱🐱

The book of the month to share your love of our feline friends with a child is:

August 19th was world lion day:
A big cat, but a cat nevertheless. One of my favourite stories.

Deborah wrote: "How I cope and make a difference is by volunteering at Here Today Adopted Tomorrow. Cage free, no kill cat shelter. We have a tnr program, a kids education program, and a care for life program. Car..."That care for life program sounds wonderful. A lot of senior cats are abandoned because of health issues. It sounds like you get a lot out of the volunteer work you do. And I am sure the cats love you.
Audrey wrote: "Cats on Catnip is a really cute photo book."That does look cute. 🙂

Please share here news items you come across where either cats are the star of the show and have assisted or made a difference to humans, or in which humans have displayed what is best about humanity; service and sacrifice of self to assist those in need, in this case our feline friends.

How do you cope with stories of harm being done to cats? Do you know of positive ways to address this issue? Are there any organizations that you would like to highlight or tips for others to be able to cope with and help eradicate it?
Please do not share stories of cats being abused in any way. We all know these things are happening and if you are like me they cause you real pain. Instead let’s focus on helping one another to make the world a better place for our feline friends.
This group has zero tolerance for abuse and cruelty against any living thing.

I agree with you both. I believe all sentient beings have spirit and that animals that form bonds, like cats, sometimes stay around or visit from whatever plane of existence that have gone to. The first cat that I had when a young girl, a beautiful white cat I called, not surprisingly, Beauty, I felt nearby for a long time after he died. I was so heartbroken by his death I have wondered that he stayed to get me through. Anyhow when I get to Heaven, if he’s not there I will think I’ve been sent to the other place.
Deborah wrote: "Madison and I are terrible. We read multiple books and pick up something from the pile fairly arbitrarily. So no real plans other than reading"That sounds a good plan to me 🙂
Tania wrote: "I too loved Elizabeth and her German Garden. A gardener after my own heart, She leaves Dandelions and Daisies in her lawn, I always think a lawn with no weeds in it is really boring, I had all sort..."Oh I so agree. When I was at university there were tiny blue flowers growing in the lawn on one part of the campus and I hated it every time they mowed it. Such a shame, they were beautiful. The memory of sitting on the grass with those flowers remains with me.
Rosemarie wrote: "I hope to read Elizabeth and Her German Garden and The War of the Worlds for the second time.

I read Elizabeth and her Garden recently and found Elizabeth to be delightful.
Hope you enjoy your lovely trip.

September is almost upon us and all I can say is what happened to Summer, that went fast.
Thankfully whatever the season good books are always waiting to be read.
My cat Romeo will have the pleasure of reading the following this month:
Silence by
Shūsaku EndōSculptor's Daughter: A Childhood Memoir by
Tove JanssonPan's Labyrinth: The Labyrinth of the Faun by
Guillermo del ToroPalace Walk by
Naguib MahfouzThe Last September by
Elizabeth BowenPlus a few contemporary novels here and there. That should keep him purring.
What are you and your kitty hoping to read as back to school begins?
A well read cat is a happy cat.

This is where you can share photos of your cat/s or cute photos that you come across.

This thread is to share those heartwarming cute stories of cats, either on the Internet or from your own life. Everyone needs a little kitty love in their life.

We adopted them separately. Tire is 4 year older. Still they behave almost like brothe..."That's sweet.
