Making them human and jus…moreOften, I find the writing itself. Pouring all those ideas out. Filtering them. Giving your characters' voices and attitudes. Making them human and just being a creator of a world that only you know to the bone.
On other times, having your readers telling you how much they've loved your story. That they even gave up on their sleep for your book. Or how much they could relate to a certain aspect of a certain character. Or even treating the characters of your book like they are real, instead of just fiction and be interactive with the plot, the characters and to us, the writer. All of it is just heartwarming.(less)
