Naomi Boom is an author who never expected to love writing. Her inspiration struck on a search for the perfect historical romance novel to read. Nothing sounded appealing, so she decided to write her own. That one novel has morphed into a series, and hopefully many, many more.

She resides in her home state of South Dakota with her husband and toddler. Her dream is to someday find an acreage where she can raise chickens and continue her writing.

The one book which kept popping up in my mind (after giving it a lot of thought) was Ten Things I Love About You, by Julia Quinn. I absolutely adore Sebastian Grey, and love the way Sebastian and Annabel click. It doesn't help that this was one of the first Regency Romances I ever read, so this novel really sticks out in my mind.

What about you? I'm always looking for an exceptional book to read.(less)

Certain scenes are less enjoyable to write, and sometimes I have to let ideas simmer for a little bit - i.e. take a break from writing for a day or so, but I've never had a moment where I've sat at a computer and stared blankly at the screen. Maybe my experiences are a minimal version of writer's block, and if so, please let me know!(less)

Turns out making book trailers is kind of enjoyable. I get to do something creative aside from write, although I end up missing writing by the end of my project. But To Entice an Earl deserved a book trailer, so hopefully you enjoy watching it.
