[close] A place to discuss all the unique aspects of Deaf culture as highlighted in the thriller Silent Fear (A novel inspired by true crimes) by Lance & James Morcan. This group can also be an intersection of sorts where Deaf and hearing people can engage and learn from each other.

[close] This group is an attempt to bring people wish to learn and share more about the Indian Philosophy. Personally I have been very fascinated by the advancement and variety of the views in the ancient Indian civilization. Bharat or India is certainly not limited by the political boundaries of the nation, but any one who believes in the values and knowledge imparted by the Vedas and Vedic Philosophers can be term Bhartiya (Indian). The ideas are now vanishing from the common people, but there are certainly some of us who respect and value the ocean of knowledge that we have inherited over millenniums and would like to learn more. This group will allow us to share great books, ideas and views/perceptions that can enable our development.

[close] A place to come together, explore yogic literature, and discuss what these teachings mean to us living and practicing in the West today. Hosted by Ellen Stansell PhD, RYT a specialist in Indian philosophy and a registered yoga teacher. Currently, this group is reading the Shiva Sutras. We are not accepting new members at this time in order to keep the group size small to allow for a more personal level of discussion. [close] Devoted to studying the grammar of Vedic or Old-Indian language as in Rgveda, Brahmanas and Upanishads. Included are phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Also welcome any discussion on comparative aspects with other Indo-European languages as long as they are confined to grammatical aspects.
