There is also a Facebook page located at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Memoir-Book-Club/189211074489649?sk=wall Memoir Book Club was established by Thomas Lister-Looker in October, 2011 for those who enjoy reading Memoirs and are looking for a venue to discuss Memoir authors, books, themes, and publishing. Memoir Book Club is intended to work just like a regular book club, but rather than gathering at a local coffee shop, bookstore, library, or at someone's home on a regular basis to discuss the "Memoir of the Month" we'll do it online. This way we're not limited to geography and/or picking a day and time that is convenient for everyone. Ideally the "Memoir of the Month" will be announced during the week prior to the beginning of each month to give everyone time to get their copy of the Memoir by either purchasing it from their local bookstore, ordering online (e.g. Amazon or Barnes & Noble), checking it out from their local library, or downloading an e-book version. Each month we'll read the selected Memoir and throughout the month everyone can post questions/comments, etc. My hope is to get the author of the Memoir to join our group while we're reading their memoir, or at the very least respond to some of our questions/comments. The months of November and December, 2011 will be dedicated to getting people to join the Memoir Book Club on Facebook. January 1, 2012 will be our kick-off month with our first Memoir selection!
