These are the books that everyone is reading; the future classics, academic required reading and Hollywood movies. Let's see what all the hype is about!

[close] Women's Short Book Club of Greater Atlanta. We were formed in 1994 for busy working (whether in the home or out) women who had little time to read but wanted to discuss what they did read. Four of the original seven charter members are still active. While we are less busy due to retirement or grown kids we still love to read and chat. WSBCGA rating scale: Women :-)- The subject or author pertains to women. Short :-)- The book can be read in a short period of time or is easily picked up or put down without missing the story. Atlanta :-) - The topic, author or setting has some Southern roots. Depth :-)- The book captures and holds the reader. Recommend :-)- Would you recommend this book. Bookshelf :-)- If someone were to judge you solely on the titles on your bookshelf would you want this book to be on that shelf. [close] Greetings, and welcome to a group dedicated to the person authors can't do without: the Cover Artist. Any author who's attempted to sell a book knows the importance of a good cover. Good? No - great. Eye-catching. Stride-stopping. Something that makes the browser catch their breath and forget everything but what they're ogling. THE cover. Without that, we, the writers, are dead in the water. To that end, I've created this group. It's a forum in which artists can display their work, go out into the writer groups and chat, and hopefully, everyone will gain (and prosper) in the process. Oh. One other thing. All members of this group are going to have their names and web sites listed on my blog. This is just a little thank-you for making Goodreads just a little better place to be :)
