It could be books related to children's literature, teaching resources, school work related, education politics/economics just to name a few. [close] We are instructors and administrators at member schools within the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges consortium who enjoy learning about pedagogy. We read books that inform our teaching practices and meet primarily virtually. During the 2019 - 2020 academic year, we will meet virtually twice to discuss the book Powerful Teaching: Unleash the Science of Learning, and have a hold for a February virtual Q&A discussion with one of the book authors, Dr. Pooja Agarwal.

[close] Well, there's Coachella and then there's Sociella. In here we are supposed to read books about sociology, human behaviour, early childhood education, pedagogy, psychology and let's see what else.

[close] Welcome. This is a reading group for anyone interested in teaching writing. I've set a regular reading schedule that focuses on one book for 2 months. Extra time has been given to encourage close reading and discussion. Participation is encouraged, but not required. Jump in as it fits your interests and schedule. Please suggest books to add to our reading list. Discussions should remain informal. Start new discussion threads as you wish. Be kind to one another. This group is public. Invite other folks.
