[close] In a quest to find books related to leadership in EMS I have been overwhelmed by the focus on 'military memoirs' that are most often recommended. I believe that leading paramedics might be a bit different than leading soldiers. (Even if only for the fact that no one in paramedicine signs up to possibly lose their life in service.) Missing from the recommendations have often been leadership books written by women, racialized, and historically excluded people. In many EMS organizations the frontline is comprised of approximately 50/50 on the binary gender spectrum while leadership is overwhelmingly cisgender white men.
