[close] Vintage Gems is a place for members to enjoy and share forgotten gems from the past. Most of the books featured will be works in the public domain and can be found in places such as Project Gutenberg and Internet Archive, among other places. Most of the books featured will be lesser known works, though occasionally we may discuss more recognized classics. Discussions will often feature a Christian or moral viewpoint, as many older books also did so. Those who are not Christians are also welcome to join. We strive to be a friendly group and wish to have spirited and interesting discussions. We request for group members to be active, at the least on a monthly basis if possible. We exist to honor the best nearly-forgotten fictional tales from the past and to share our favorites with other readers. Authors are welcome to join. However, since the focus of the group is older writing, authors are asked to confine self-promotion only to the authors' section.
