[close] This book club is for both experienced and novice readers interested in normalizing the consumption and discussion of works by writers who come from diverse backgrounds and explore diverse topics & experiences. We democratically select books monthly. Although there are no set restrictions and exceptions will arise, reading selections tend to include - pieces that you might not have otherwise selected on our own (to take you out of our comfort zone), - books by writers who come from diverse backgrounds and under-voiced experiences, - newly published (within the last year or two) works, - and high quality writing that makes it onto Oprah's and B. H.
