We did a massive reading of the Book of the Fallen series between January of 2013 and May of 2014 with detailed discussion of Every Chapter. Even though it's finished, don't be shy about joining in the discussion with your thoughts. The group is mostly focused on the Erikson & Esslemont books of the Malazan World. [close] Welcome to the unofficial book club for Steven Erikson's high fantasy series, Malazan Book of the Fallen. We have already completed the first book, and we've moved on to book two. Don't let that dissuade you from joining at any point! The series is not for the faint of heart or for the most casual of fantasy fans (10 books long). Weekly discussions can be found in the discussion section and are live when the reading period begins. The schedule can be found below and will be continually updated when necessary. PLEASE READ: since we'll obviously be posting while we read, please use spoiler tags for discussion posts. Label your post with where you are referring to, for example something like "Spoilers up to Chapter 2" so that people who haven't read to that point yet know to avoid while others who have read past that point can feel safe reading your post. After the end date for each weekly reading, spoilers for that week will no longer be required.
