This reading group will focus on natural history. We will immerse ourselves within the realm of organisms as we explore the biodiversity of the planet. Discover and discuss animal species ranging from vertebrates such as birds and mammals to soft-bodied organisms such as mollusks, worms and jellies. We will journey throughout the world's biomes via ecological and evolutionary perspectives, the microscopic connections and the life histories of different species. Hopefully we will gain a better understanding of the numerous species we share the planet with. Environmental aspects and conservation measures are also important topics of interest in this group.
