[close] Have you been looking for an opportunity to expand your literary horizons and do some charitable works in 2020? Do you enjoy a bit of friendly competition? Then join us in our 2020 reading challenge! This year, we will pledge a dollar to literacy campaigns for every book we read. This challenge will be open to all who wish to join & will be an exciting environment to grow, discuss, and discover new books. Let 2020 be the year you finally hit your reading goal! Reporting will be entirely based upon the honor system; we trust you on what you believe counts as a book (there are so many flexible options!!) and we trust that you will report everything you read. Challenge ends December 31, 2020. In order to make sure everyone's money goes to something they believe in, we will vote on an agreed organization the first week of December (or perhaps a couple!). Some great options are: the ACLU, CASA, the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children, HandsON Bay Area & East Bay Children's Book Project--please feel free to suggest your own. [close] I am starting a group devoted to helping orphans in Rwanda. Its a thing we do at school and we've raised 8000 dollars for orphans who dont have much. I thought it wouuld be a good idea to maybe start a group at goodreads. i really want to help the kids at Rwanda so invite your friends. Please donate and raise awareness.
