Foster Children
Fostered (or "looked-after") children as usually wards of their state or country who have been removed from the care of their biological parents. This can be a short-term temporary removal (e.g. respite care), or a longer permanent solution. It is intended to be focused on the needs of the child. Some foster children return to their biological parents, others are adopted, and many more remain within their state/country's care system.
