[close] This is a group for people who have a tendency for emotional eating. Whatever you like to read, every time reach for a book instead of brownie, tell us about it! This way you can track your successes at the same time that you encourage others.

[close] This is a public group and everyone is welcome! This group was created for those in recovery from Eating and co-occurring disorders. Co-occurring disorders include depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, OCD and ADHD. Focus and Objectives of This Group • The primary focus of this group is going to be empirically sound solutions to eating and co-occurring disorders. One of the many objectives of this group is to get everyone help who needs it with protocols that include measurable outcomes. • The primary objective of this group is to make sure that what has been done to resolve an issue has been effective via measurable outcomes and the opinion of the person seeking help. • Opinions on treatment are encouraged • We will post recommended books that meet our fundamental scientific requirements What This Group is Not About • This group has a single objective and that is to get all who choose to participate back to their normal. This means that simply telling stories about being broken will not be allowed whether in book form or a post. • Only science based solutions to eating and co-occurring disorders will be allowed. So called evidence-based protocols which do not produce measurable outcomes form a practitioner will also not be allowed.

[close] This is a group started by NEDA volunteers for people who want to learn about books on the treatment and prevention of eating disorders and related topics. Here you can read reviews of books related to the topics of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder ednos etc.; as well as body image, social pressure to thinness, obesity and other relavent topics such as theories of psychology.
