Humans can be claimed by a Supernatural, meaning if they know about Supernaturals because a Supernatural told them, the teller may have a choice to befriend the human or claim them. Most humans believe that Supernaturals are Myths and Fables. They aren't real. But the truth is, anyone could be a Supernatural, but disguise themselves as a Human. But they're still considered both species. Human and Supernatural at the same time.
