[close] There are quite a few Christian groups on Goodreads, so why another? As a member of some of those groups and not of others I couldn't help but feel the dialogue I wanted to carry on was misplaced in these groups. This group is created to discuss and think about living the example of Christ in our contemporary world while facing the true struggle of fear and doubt. This is not a place to sell your latest book, to enter into some fake prayer circle, to damage others through their doubtful and questioning periods, to be rude on the basis of theological beliefs.

[close] A place for some confessional Lutherans to join in reading books, expound on theology, and encourage eachother to get through our book lists... all while focusing on Christ! This group is primarily made up of members of Zion Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Hiawatha, Iowa, but may also include other LCMS Iowa District East church members or a select group of others around the USA. This group is not an "official" ministry of Zion, but loosely affiliated; however, proper Pastoral oversight is provided by Rev. Daniel Kreuger of Zion Lutheran.
