Bucket List

[close] We talk about the books on the 100 books bucket list scratch off. or just our current reads. it honestly doesn't matter that much. i just kinda want to talk about the books on this list because some off them scare me a little.

[close] Here's the idea... The Letters Republic blog compiled a "Master List" of books using 24 different "best books" lists and some specific scoring rules. We use this list to generate ideas for books to read, including some more difficult texts. https://lettersrepublic.wordpress.com/the-master/#another-identifier Then we meet and discuss! We meet the 3rd Thursday of the month, 7pm. It's ok if you didn't finish the book. Just be ready to discuss the part you did read. Pre-covid, we met at Atomic Fern in downtown Durham. During covid, we moved to zoom and it worked really well. Since 2020, we've stayed on zoom where we have wonderful discussions. We occasionally meet in person for book-related events. These could include author events, movie adaptations, etc. We'd love to have volunteers to select books and lead discussions. Please contact us if you are interested.

What about those books you read as growing up that you want to to read again? Well then this is the group to help you keep track of those books! Just start a thread listing the books, authors, etc. you want to read and cross them off as you go! It's that simple. No deadline, no start date, no stress!
