[close] "Not Your Average Book Group" is designed for everyone out there who prefers the various bizarre and unusual books, however cannot string them all into one genre. These can include out of the ordinary subjects, strange or twisted fantasy, maybe that book that you just sort of picked up from the lonely corner in that old bookstore when you went on vacation…

[close] Sometimes you just want to read something different, and sometimes you have a book too strange to recommend to your friends.

[close] An association where the weird, unusual, unorthodox, silly, curious, oddball, offbeat, and maybe not-so-normal reader can express their thoughts on all books of all genres. Think of an open market full of stalls where people sale their wares. Now think of those stalls as a book. Every book has their own special place now right? That's how we choose to think of books here. We do not discriminate against any one genre, subject, or author. So what makes us kooky in the bazaar of bizarre readers? When I say we read everything, we read EVERYTHING... as long as it is not on the New York bestsellers. Those books have their stall... and most of the time we stay clear of their reach. WE will read everything from the obscure Japanese horror novelist, to the old school kid's fantasy series, to the dirt-dishing books about Linda Lovelace, to the history of drunken parties hosted by Mesoamericans.
