E. Sands grew up in small towns of rural Michigan as an avid bookworm and music lover. Her favorite authors were R.A. Salvatore, Douglas Niles, David & Leigh Eddings, and Tolkien. But she was also greatly influenced by classics, such as Edgar Allen Poe and William Shakespeare. She began to write stories in high school, and never really stopped after.

After joining the military and moving a few times, she moved from the Midwest of the USA to Europe and is continuing to work with Project AO.

As a staunch LGBTQ ally, E. Sands hopes to bring engaging diversity and representation to the stories she helps create.
