Fed from an early age on a steady diet of Welsh folklore and family legend by her mother, and immersed in all the classic science fiction and fantasy by her father, Eira writes the contemporary stories her teenage self always wanted and couldn’t find.

Her debut novel, Sentinel of the Sun, is led by young women with dirt under their nails, who aren’t afraid to break the rules to get things done. The manuscript reached the final of the 2022 Page Turner Awards.

Sentinel of the Sun is published by Welsh publisher, Graffeg, and is supported by the Books Council of Wales.

Eira has a masters degree in Professional Writing from Falmouth University and currently lives in Hampshire with her husband, Jeff, and jack russell terriers, Ivy and Merry.
