I agree with this. It's the same way we don't hear anything from Lisa (the TV presenter - or at least I think that's her job if I remember correctly - that Warren meets midway through the book and ends up married to by the end). They're around the scene, sure, but they're not really relevant to the band and their career other than having a relationship with a band member.
